What else has Jameela done?


Jameela believes that business can be a force for good and a tool for change. Jameela has used Alora Boutique to bring the community together. Most recently, Alora organized an International Women’s Day Event that saw 200 people come out to support female-run businesses and celebrate the contributions of women in Calgary. Jameela believes that the path to female equality is through economic empowerment and that we can all support each other to make the dream of equality a reality. That is why Jameela started she[EMPOWERS], an organization that empowers and promotes female-businesses, because as she saw other product-based businesses in Calgary struggling to grow.

Public Speaking


Organizations in Calgary have asked Jameela to speak in their classes, on panels, and be a guest judge at their events. She mostly shares her experience and expertise in sustainable fashion, finding your “why,” female entrepreneurship, content marketing, and social responsibility in business.
